The site seekingalpha.com showed up on my radar about a year ago and I remember liking it, recently the headlines and stories that it features strike me as even more sensationalist and flip floppy than motley fool (thats right, i said it). I illustrate this by pointing to this story :

Why Apple’s iTV Will Fail, With or Without Google

published last week, and this story:

Why Apple Will Enter - And Win - the Flat Panel TV MarketĀ

notice the WILDLY different viewpoints in these headlines, fear not though, I’ve discovered the author of the first pessimisstic article is:

a) Using an alias

b) An analyst in non tech markets

c) Writing this article as his FIRST for seeking alpha

d) Getting a 1.2 rating from 98 people who rated his doomsday prediction.

Moving on, I bring you the real reason for this post, the comments at the bottom of this great article: Microsoft’s Strategy To Grab iPod Market Share: Subsidize Zune To the Tune of $150

are so Money, they made me laugh:

Microsoft could _pay me_ to use a Zune, but if it has a user experience anything like most MS products, I’ll stick with my $200 ipod, thanks.

Maybe MSFT could just directly pay Apple not to sell iPods, kind of like what the feds do with farm subsidies. It might be cheaper for them in the long run.
